Racing Stripes

A few weeks ago, J, Vince and I decided to hit up the Hampton Roads International Auto Show. I remember going to auto shows in New York City as a kid, and they were always pretty interesting. Turns out, when they have an auto show down here, they mostly just have all the local dealers drive their stock into the convention center. No crazy colors, no concept cars — just your run-of-the-mill 2013 models, a few old mustangs, and one race car. (It didn’t have stripes. I was referring to my shirt.)

That’s okay. What the car show lacked in futuristic vehicles, it made up for in evacuations. Apparently someone kept pulling the fire alarm. J and Vince assumed it was some dumb kids. I assumed it was someone acting out of desperation to see some flashy vehicles. You know how it goes. Pull fire alarm —> see fire trucks.

Oh well. At least I wore a cool outfit. =)
