long weekend layers

Some people put up their Christmas decorations the day after Thanksgiving, but I was in New Jersey, so the closest I came was breaking out the plaid. Actually, I’m lying. I started wearing the plaid a few weeks ago. I can’t help it — I wear Hawaiian print in the summer, plaid in the winter, and stripes and leopard print all year round.

There was a time in my life that I used to leave the house in one shirt. And I’m not sure what prompted me to start layering two and three of them on top of each other every day — maybe I was just dying to do three times as much laundry. But I must admit that creatively mixing and matching my wardrobe makes my outfits a feel little more original. Although, many of these outfits were inspired by last winter’s Chicago trip, so maybe not that original.

Anyway, in case you’re wondering, plans for this week include washing all these clothes, putting up my Christmas tree, and working a full 40 hours (which I haven’t done since September). =)

  1. Cute outfits in Jersey!

Yuck to laundry. Hooray for the Christmas tree – I’m not decorating because we’re going to Kentucky. (Oh wait, I have a kitchen towel on the counter that says “Merry Christmas Y’all” … does that count?!?!) And double yuck for the work schedule. Bless your heart.

    Hugs,

  2. I’m so glad you (finally) posted some more outfit pictures! A few days ago I was just thinking I needed to email you to tell you how much I missed your outfit posts…but then pregnancy brain made me forget everytime I was on the computer! haha

    1. Hey!! =) Sometimes I need a little prodding. Taking a bunch of pictures of myself just sometimes gets so awkward. Haha. How much longer til the baby comes?
