According to my poll, outfits and style posts are welcome on this blog. I haven’t posted many recently, mostly because I got sick of people who don’t understand the point asking me things like, “Do you think you’re some kind of a model now?” and “Don’t you care about anything other than clothes?” and “Are you going to make fun of me if I wear the same dress to two events in a row?”

For the record, I do not think I’m some kind of a model. If I could style a model every day and post a photo of her on my blog, I would do that. I’m well aware of the fact that I’m 5’1″ and at least a few pounds overweight (working on it), which basically makes me the furthest thing from a model there is. Besides, if you wanted to see models, I’m assuming you would pick up a real magazine, and not come here looking for outfit posts, right?

Second, I care about a lot of things. But I occasionally blog about clothes and fashion because it’s fun. =)

Third, I wear the same stuff over and over and over again. Less is more when it comes to clothes, and I would never judge anyone for wearing something multiple times.

Glad we got that out of the way. Now let’s all have a fabulous, polka-dotted week. =)

  1. haha..I guess there’s a lot of people that just don’t get it.
Dressing up is so fun…and for me it seems like a total waste when lots of times only a handful of people actually see my outfit any given day…the joys of living in a small town where my outings are play groups and picking up the mail/groceries! haha
I always love seeing your outfits! You may not be a professional model…but most people would much rather see what real people wear in everyday life as opposed to some fantasy!

    1. Thanks, lady. If for no other reason, I’m going to start posting outfits again just so you’ll come leave me these nice comments. =) I agree about the dressing up. And it’s fun to show off a cute outfit sometimes. I get lots of ideas from other bloggers, and I like posting real-life outfits that might inspire others to create a new look from the clothes in their closet or make a new purchase of something that might work well with clothes they’ve already got. Hope you and the new baby are doing well!! =)

  2. Everytime you share your height, I’m reminded of how effin’ HUGE I am. Damn! Once again, I’m the Jolly Green Giant with her adorable, fashionable, talented, friendly, amazing, and vertically-challenged friends. LOL

p.s. I’m liking the dots. And the boots. And the pearls. And the bag. And, well, you get the picture. =)

  3. I love when you post your outfits – it gives me ideas for outfits and how I can do something similar. And you always look to fashionable and put together. Reminds me of high school…remember your long blazer?? I was always envious of that. See – you are a fashion icon to some of us not so fashion-knowledgable people 🙂

    1. I remember! I loved that blazer. =) Fashion icon? That might be taking it a little far, but…thank you! =) Next time in town, we need to go shopping for old time’s sake. Or at least to lunch!
