How will you be spending Christmas? John and I exchanged Christmas gifts on December 22 before I drove home to NJ. I gave him a really nice wine rack, champagne glasses, pajamas, a belt, and a dress shirt. He gave me a French press, a milk frother, coffee, a framed photo of us, a Flip Video, and Oakley sunglasses. I drove home on the 23rd and went out to a nice dinner at Brando’s in Asbury Park. Then my mom and I hit up the grocery store and Bed Bath & Beyond for some last-minute holiday baking supplies. We baked cookies and a chocolate peppermint cake in the morning, and then I spent Christmas Eve at my grandparents’ house with my parents, my brother, my grandparents, Joelle, Cricky, Aunt Angel, Uncle Cricket, Uncle Johnny, and miraculously, My Uncle Vinny, Aunt Debbie, Vincent and Joey. My cousin Mikey had to work, but it was nice to have almost everyone in the same place! After that, my brother and I watched Easy A. On Christmas morning, Stephen and I opened presents under the tree with my parents. I got a scarf from Anthropologie, a black cashmere sweater, and a netbook! Plus lots of other awesome stuff. We drove up to Aunt Debbie’s and Uncle Sal’s for appetizers, and then went to Aunt Angel’s and Uncle Cricket’s for dinner. It was so fun to get to see Joelle two days in a row! On the 26th, my mom and I went shopping at Lord & Taylor, Anthropologie and J.Crew…then the snow started, and my long weekend has turned into an extended vacation because I’m likely to be stuck here for at least another day or two.
Did you fall in love in 2010? Nope – still in love w/the person from 2008. Duh. 🙂
How many one-night stands? 0
Who were your best friends? Kristy, Tina, John, Heather
What thing did you do that was meaningful to others? I was really focused on work this year. I did a lot to support our ISO/quality team and played a huge part in our company achieving their ISO 9001:2008 certification. I also played a key role in coordinating and writing two major proposals at work, plus so, so, so many smaller ones. I think my contributions at work this year have been meaningful to many of my coworkers.
I also wrote a pretty detailed post on short refinancing back in September, which I think was meaningful to a few people facing difficulty with their mortgages. I received several e-mails in response to the post, and I think I was actually able to give some people some decent advice to get them going in the right direction.

What was your favorite film of this year? Get Him to The Greek, Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinksy, Easy A
What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? 29. A bunch of my friends joined me for dinner at Il Giardino, and then we went to Waterman’s for Orange Crushes. It wasn’t quite as exciting as last year. The party kind of fizzled out before midnight. John gave me a radio for my car with Bluetooth and an iPod connection, and my parents sent me a navy Elevenses blazer and a nautical teacup and saucer from Antrhopologie.
What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Refinancing my condo into my own name
