The Year In Review – Part 5

Well, here we are — December 31st, New Year’s Eve, the end of 2004. I’m a little sad that this year is over. While I was busy putting all those miles on the Malibu trying to figure out what to do with my life, I actually started to enjoy the ride. The year’s been tons of fun – I’ve seen a lot of crazy places, met some crazy people and done some crazy things.

I guess my story of the year has a happy ending. I found my job, I found my apartment, I found my roommates. I even got a few decent haircuts.

Along the way, I spent the best times ever with four of my little cousins, I lost eight pounds, Virginia Tech won the ACC, I was certified to serve alcohol in the state of Nevada, I ran a lot of miles and I illegally downloaded a lot of music.

This year was full of surprises. I’m not sure 2005 can measure up. I guess anything is possible though — I mean I never dreamed I would have done half the stuff I did this year, so who knows what I’ll be doing by next April, next August, and next December. I guess we’ll just have to see — starting tomorrow.

As for today, the main goal is to find a cute shirt and some shiny silver shoes to go party like a rock star in Norfolk later. Bring on the champagne.

Happy New Year, everyone!
