Hokie Hope Day

I felt like I was in Blacksburg this morning when I stopped in a Dunkin’ Donuts on my way to work and found every customer and staff member inside decked out in Virginia Tech shirts. It’s been a rough week, but this is shaping up to be a much better day.

My coworkers and I made some VT pins yesterday. We’ve been selling them around the office and downtown Norfolk to raise money to donate to the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund. We even got Granby Bistro to chip in by offering a complimentary beverage to anyone who wears a pin into the restaurant today. We’ve raised about $131 so far. It’s not much, but it’s something.

Go Hokies.
