I spent the better part of this afternoon relaxing in the jacuzzi bathtub reading Island of the Sequined Love Nun (which was almost as hilarious as Catch-22) wondering why, in return for calmly accepting five shots of Novocaine at the dentist’s office without tears this morning, I am now suffering from an excruciatingly sore tooth and jaw. As a result, I’ve been quite lazy and not productive in any way, shape or form.
Of course, my lack of sleep in the past few weeks has added to this problem, as has the weather. Snow does not motivate me to do much — especially eat fruits and vegetables or pack to move. I haven’t changed my IM away message for almost 48 hours and I’m sort of enjoying the break I’m getting from dealing with e-mails due to a virus messing with the Virginia Tech server.
I wish I had something more creative or exciting to relay in this entry, but in my extremely relaxed and positively withdrawn state, I just don’t.

Yossarian rocks my world. He was the coolest main character ever. Have you ever read “A Confederacy of Dunces”?? Ignatious J. Reilly. He was just about as funny as Yossarian, maybe more so. And this latest book I read, “Island of the Sequined Love Nun”, it’s fucking hilarious. You’d think it was a girly book from the title, but it really wasn’t. It was about this failure of a pilot named Tucker Case who ended up flying shady missions for these horrible people posing as a priestess and a sorcerer on a remote south Pacific island after he drunkenly crashed his pink jet into an air traffic control tower and lost his job. It was hilarious in an insane/crazy sort of way. Talking monkey, cannibal natives, cargo cults of islanders worshipping the artwork of a naked chick on the side of a WWII bomber as their Sky Priestess. Same sort of wacky humor as Catch-22, but a little lighter. If you’re ever bored, I would definitely recommend either of those two books any day.
I like never get around to reading, but ill try and check em thanx
Catch 22 is such an awesome book. I didn’t even get to read it all but it was required reading. Everything’s got a play on everything and there’s so many stories within stories it makes me want to cry. I had lots of fun with it.

Holy Confederacy of Dunces is so good. I heard some rumor that they are going to make it into a movie so hopefully they don’t ruin it. And Catch-22, mmmm. I just might have to try and read this Sequined Nun you speak of.
