Ooooookay. It’s been like three months. I don’t even know what happened for those three months. I went to Mexico. I went to Spain. I worked a lot. I went to New Jersey. It got warmer. I went to the beach a few times. I tried to focus on reading some books, but I couldn’t to I resorted to reading books I used to like when I was 13 because I could finish them in two hours before I got distracted. I gave my closet a much-needed overhaul and took like 12 bags of stuff out of my house. Then I splurged on a pair of Ferragamo shoes I’ve been eyeing for about eight years. I made a plan to go to the Lilly Pulitzer Warehouse Sale, but I think I’m going to bail on that. Kerry and Leah came to visit for Memorial Day weekend, and that was super fun. We’re going to try user acceptance testing on the never-ending quoting-in_Salesforce project at work, so maybe we’ll get that right this time. Fingers crossed. And that just about catches us up to present day, right?
June 1. First day of hurricane season. It’s a good thing I put it on my calendar because I almost forgot. But then I remembered, so I went on a four-store jaunt around the Oceanfront and Hilltop to find passionfruit juice and maraschino cherries, so I could make the perfect hurricane. And I’m glad I did because it was a gorgeous night for a drive, and my hurricane was the most delicious one I think I’ve ever made. Oh, and I even picked myself up some food for dinner. 😉
Anyway, that’s not the point. The point is five months down, seven to go.
