Back to School

Work is so quiet today. I don’t really have much to do. I’m so tired, too. Being in bed would be awesome right now. I’ve been staying out too late and drinking too much.

I’m a college student again. I registered for a grad class at ODU. Modern Rhetoric, it’s called. I looked up my professor on RateMyProfessors.com. Apparently, not only is he “nice, caring, understanding and interesting,” he’s also hot. There were four smiley faces and a red chili pepper next to his name. I guess I’ll have to let you know after my first class tomorrow night. In the meantime, I got my parking pass and my ODU student ID, and I had to buy five books!

Yeah, so I haven’t even gotten any e-mails at work for at least three hours. That’s so weird. I’ve been so swamped at work recently, I forget what I used to do to waste time here -and I know I spent the whole summer wasting time in this office. There must be something. Maybe I’ll go photocopy the crossword puzzle out of today’s paper.

I seriously wish I was at home reading right now. I’ve become obsessed with the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter novels by Laurell K. Hamilton. I started them in October and I’m already on the eighth one. I hope those five rhetoric books don’t interfere with my progress.

Damn! I should have brought the vampire book to work! I could so be sneaking in a few chapters this afternoon. Then I’d be able to save the crossword puzzle for class tomorrow night.

What? Multi-tasking is important.
