June was fun, but it went by so fast! Luckily, I found some time to make new friends and visit some out of the ordinary places on the weekends (like Ntelos Pavilion, the Bayou Boogaloo, and the Virginia Aquarium). I also spent a few (but not enough) lazy hours reading my patio, and a few short evenings at the beach. I acquired everything I needed for my guest room, and put the finishing touches on my patio for summer. At work, we spent most of the month testing and tweaking our new quoting system, which amounted to lots of late nights. In the end, we decided to push our launch date out until October, but we also unveiled our plan to hire a team of five Salesforce-focused people! I’m pretty excited about spending July recruiting, hiring and training my new team…and hopefully squeezing in a few beach days now that we’re not on such a strict timeline. 🙂

Develop a new strategy for keeping my email under control – This awesome out-of-office message made it so I didn’t need to worry about drowning in e-mails the entire time I was on vacation: Aloha! I will be on vacation in Hawaii from March 28 through April 5. I will be checking emails intermittently, so if your email is urgent, please write me back and let me know by putting URGENT in the subject line (but keep in mind I’ll be six hours behind EDT). If it can wait until I return, please write me again on or after April 7 because it’s quite possible your original email will be lost in a sea of unread messages in my Inbox by then. 🙂 Pineapples & palm trees, Lisa DeNoia.
