Caitlin McGauley

By February 19, 2013 art

I recently stumbled upon the charming watercolors of Caitlin McGauley, and I’m simply in love. I’m particularly fond of the playful colors, Caitlin’s impeccable sense of style, and her ability to invoke the realism of a photograph through a whimsical painting. Turns out, she’s done projects with Kate Spade, West Elm, Ralph Lauren, and Tory Burch. Swoon. Her blog, Caitlin’s Sketchbook, is the newest addition my reading list, and I can’t wait to keep up with her latest creations.

  • Very cool images and they definitely remind me of you, Coastal Chicster! As for the friendship bracelets, OHMYGOODNESS!!!!!! That brings back lots of memories. I remember spending summer after summer making those things with the girlfriends. We were so cool. Wait, we still are!!!!

The friendship bracelets illustration is definitely my favorite. I started making one last summer. I was taping it to the armrest of my beach chair and working on it at the beach. It’s on my list of things to finish this summer. 🙂
