10 Years, 10 Friends, 10 Days: The Blog BFF

Guest post #1 comes from my former co-worker, loyal #1 fan, avid camel rider(?), and blogging BFF (who I swear I will someday meet in person), Nicole, who compiled a list of some of her favorite posts over the last few years. I love that I was at least a little of her inspiration to start her own blog, of which I am an avid reader and lazy commenter. 😉 But that’s okay because I always respond back to her e-mails immediately, and she knows she has an open invitation to stay @ the beach and ride my extra cruiser any day of the week. Enjoy!

When “Lisa DeNoia” is mentioned, I immediately think of blogging, beaches, bicycles, fashion, mimosas, Nikon photography, and random conversations. I’ve known Lisa since 2007 and in that time she has been my therapist, personal shopper, blog mentor, photography tutor, health consultant, and greatest, most humble bullshitter a person could ask for … needless to say, I’m quite smitten with her. It’s an honor to be a part of her 10-year blog anniversary series and share a few of my favorite posts!

Back Bay
This post I love not only for Lisa’s incredible photography, but it reminds me of family vacations along the Outer Banks of North Carolina. My uncle owned a beach house between Duck and Kitty Hawk.

48 Hours in Nashville
Lisa embodied my country roots and cowboy boots in this post! I absolutely LOVE the photograph with the old microphone at the Ryman Auditorium. (Note to Lisa: this is postcard worthy, my dear!)

You’re Invited
Lisa is one of the most generous people I know. She has supported me during two mission trips to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and I consider her to be my go-to resource for all things fashion, photography, blogging, health (can you say shingles?!) and random life questions! One of these days, I’m going to attend the Hands to Angels Foundation benefit and party like a rock star with Lisa and her crew!

Resolutions
Besides inspiring and encouraging me to create my own blog, Lisa also got me hooked on annual resolution lists. Her lists are always incredible, and I’m pea green with envy every January when she shares her goals and ambitions for the new year. She never disappoints and I feel like a failure already because I haven’t even started on my 2014 list!

Year in Review
Beginning December 10 and continuing through December 31, I’m hosting a *YEAR IN REVIEW Link-Up* and it’s because of Lisa that I even had the material. Along with her monthly resolution updates, I look forward to December and reading Lisa’s “recap” of the year.

Link-Ups
I’ve had some crazy ideas pop into my head (and escape my mouth), but Lisa is always willing to help, support, and participate! Did you know National Handwriting Day is observed on January 23? Neither did I, but that didn’t stop me from hosting a link-up and Lisa writing a post on the (lost) art of penning a note to someone.

Another quirky link-up occurred on December 12, 2012 (12.12.12) and Lisa shared 12 reasons she likes being ‘legally’ single.

P.S. Not a blog post, but this Instagram photo NEVER gets old …..

P.P.S (This is Lisa again.) One of my favorite posts of Nicole’s is this one…written by her horse. =)
